Digital Media Guys Announce Proud Partnership with Burscough FC

Digital Media Guys, a leading digital marketing and web design agency based in the North West, has today announced a new and meaningful partnership with Burscough Football Club, becoming the official back-of-shirt sponsor for the 2025/26 season.
This partnership represents far more than a business deal, it’s a homecoming. Digital Media Guys’ founder and owner, David Mason, is no stranger to the Linnets, having played for Burscough for two seasons. As a youth player, he was a centre forward in the club’s U18s side that won the Lancashire Cup, The League, and the Liverpool Cup under manager Derek Goulding. He was also part of the senior squad that famously lifted the FA Vase at Villa Park, managed by Shaun Teale, though injury kept him sidelined on that historic day.
Now, over two decades later, David returns to support the club from a different angle, bringing his extensive experience in professional services marketing and digital transformation to help Burscough FC modernise its digital footprint and grow its presence online and within the community.
“Burscough has always been close to my heart,” David said. “I’m genuinely proud to support a club that gave me so much. This partnership is about giving something back and helping the club create a digital strategy that reflects its ambition and potential.”
The six-person team at Digital Media Guys has over 60 years of combined experience delivering high-impact digital solutions. From SEO to social media campaigns, to clean, user-focused website builds, they’ve supported businesses across the UK, from London to the North West. Locally, they’ve worked with brands such as Elsie’s Story, Churcher Estates, HFA Mortgage & Protection, Capital Property Lawyers, Pelorus Chauffeurs and Stand Up for Southport, as well as high-profile names in football including Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler, and Arsenal Fan TV’s Robbie Lyle.
Their collaboration with Burscough FC is already bearing fruit. The team is currently developing a brand-new club website that will modernise Burscough’s online presence, streamline communication with fans, sponsors, and the community, and lay the foundation for future growth.
The ambition? To help the club build a sustainable digital infrastructure that generates new income streams, strengthens engagement, and opens doors for commercial partnerships, community outreach, and youth development.
“This isn’t just about logos on shirts,” David added. “It’s about building long-term value for the club – from the first team to the youth ranks. We’re working with the club to build a proper digital strategy that helps engage fans, attract sponsors, and reflect the pride and identity of Burscough FC both online and offline.”
Burscough FC echoed that sentiment in their recent announcement, thanking David and the team for their support and commitment to the club’s future.
As the 2025/26 season approaches, all eyes are on the Linnets – both on the pitch and now online.
Digital Media Guys are proud to be part of the journey.
For businesses, fans, and community groups interested in supporting or collaborating with the club, now is the perfect time to get involved. Burscough FC is growing and we’re excited to grow with them.
